TRANSMISSION SUBASSEMBLIES
NOTE
This task is complete teardown of transmission assembly into transmission subassemblies. In
many cases, a particular subassembly can only be removed if other subassemblies are removed
first. Therefore, the "This Task covers:" listing, lists the subassemblies in the order that they
must be removed and installed. After a subassembly Is removed, disassembly may or may not be
necessary. If a disassembly is necessary, go to the section index (page 2-632) and find the
subassembly you need to repair, replace, or clean.
After a complete removal of transmission subassemblies and before installation, several clearance
