Engine shut off (TM 9-2320-360-10).
Tool Kit, Genl Mech (Item 54, Appendix F)
Parking brake on (TM 9-2320-360-10).
Tool Kit, Electrical Repair (Item 53, Appendix F)
Wheels chocked.
Engine hood opened (TM 9-2320-360-10).
Materials/Parts
Ties, Cable, Plastic (Item 34, Appendix C)
a. Removal
(1) Turn collar (1) counterclockwise and
remove tachometer cable (2) from sending
unit (3).
NOTE
Locations of plastic cable ties should
be marked before removal.
(2) Remove plastic cable ties (4) from wires (5
and 6) and wire harness (7).
(3) Remove electrical connector
(8)
from
electrical connector (9).
(4) Turn nut (10) counterclockwise and remove
sending unit (3) from adapter (11).
(5) Remove drive key (12) from sending unit (3)
