Rear-rear axle differential drained
(LO 9-2320-269-12).
Tandem axle assembly removed (page 2-834).
Rear-rear axle shafts removed
(TM 9-2320-269-20-1).

1.
Yoke (1)
Two lockplates (2)
a.
Using ball-peen hammer and
3/8-inch
and four screws (3)
drive-pin punch, flatten tabs.
b.
Using 9/16-inch socket and ratchet
handle with 1/2-inch drive, unscrew
and take off.
c.
Get rid of lockplates (2).
2.
Upper bearing
a.
Place hydraulic jack under shaft (5)
cap (4)
near yoke and fit wood block in be-
tween.
b.
Using hydraulic jack, raise shaft (5)
until cap (4) is forced out.
c.
Using angle-nose slip-joint pliers,
carefully twist out cap (4).
