Using angle-nose slip-joint pliers,
caps (8)
pull out.

Four screws (9)
a. Using scribe, matchmark one cap (8)
and carrier leg.
b. Using 13/16-inch socket and ratchet
handle with 1/2-inch drive, unscrew
and take out.
12. Two bearing
Two bearing caps
a. Using plastic-face hammer, tap loose
adjusters (10)
(8) and four
and take off.
dowels (11)
b. Tag dowels (11).
13. Two cones (12)
Two bearing
Using 24-inch pry bar, unscrew and
adjusters (10)
take off.
14. Differential
Differential
a. Attach hoist and lifting cables.
carrier (1)
assembly (13)
b. Using hoist, lift assembly (13) out of
carrier (1) and place on bench.
c. Tilt assembly (13) to allow ring gear
to pass radial bearing.
