7. Differential
Twelve screws (2)
a. Using dolly-type jack, support differen-
carrier (1)
and lockwashers (3)
tial carrier (1).
b. Screw two 1/2-inch puller screws into
holes provided in differential
carrier (1).
c. Using 15/16-inch socket and ratchet
handle with 3/4-inch drive, unscrew
and take out.
d. Get rid of lockwashers (3).
8. Forward-rear axle
Differential
a. Using adjustable wrench, screw in 1/2-
housing (4)
carrier (1) and
inch puller screws evenly until differ-
gasket (5)
ential carrier is free of housing (4).
b. Using dolly-type jack, move differ-
ential carrier (1) away from housing.
c. Get rid of gasket (5).
d. Mount differential carrier (1) in over-
haul stand.
DISASSEMBLY
9. Two locks (6)
Two cotter pins (7)
a. Using angle-nose slip-joint pliers,
straighten and pull out.
b. Get rid of.
