Four screws (10)
a. Using 9/16-inch socket and ratchet
and washers (11)
handle with 112-inch drive, unscrew
at 9, 11, 1, and 3 o'clock positions
only, and take out.
b. Using 3/8-inch flat-tip screwdriver,
screw in and tighten four guide studs.
WARNING
When the transmission is disconnected from the engine, the torque converter can slide forward
out of the transmission and fall, causing injury.
CAUTION
Maintain transmission alignment to engine flywheel housing during removal to prevent damage to
the converter.
