WARNING
Make sure ignition key is in the OFF position, and engine stop control is in the STOP position. In
the following steps, the crankshaft will be rotated by hand. If the engine starts, serious injury or
death could result.

Using barring tool, have assistant turn
pulley (2)
crankshaft so that converter stud nuts
(3) can be reached through the access
hole in flywheel cover.

Six nuts (5)
Using 9/16-inch deep well socket and
ratchet handle with 112-inch drive,
unscrew and take out.

Transmission rear
Two screws (7) and
a. Place transmission jack under trans-
mount bracket (6)
mission.
b.
Using 15/16-inch socket and ratchet
handle with 112-inch drive, unscrew
and take out.
c.
Get rid of lockwashers (8).
