WARNING
Solvent bums easily. Solvent fumes can explode. Do not smoke or allow open flame nearby when
using solvent. Failure to observe these precautions could cause serious injury or death.

Injector (1)
New packing (2)
Coat with fresh No
2 diesel fuel and

put on.
NOTE
If more than one injector is being installed, check fixture number or tag number to ensure injector
is installed in original position.
31.
Cylinder head (4)
Injector (1)
a. Take out of holding fixture.
b.
Put in place.
32.
Injector (1)
Two new lockwashers
a. Screw in until snug.
(5) and screws (6)
b. Using 1/2-inch socket and torque
wrench with 3/8-inch drive, tighten
alternately to 15 ft-lb (20 - 34 N m)
of torque.
