Let the battery stand for 30 minutes and then check the

cont.

specific gravity of each cell with a hydrometer. Cor-

rect the reading to 800F (27 ) by adding 0.004 for each

10 above 80 and subtracting 0.004 for each 10

below 80 .

You should charge the battery if the specific gravity of

any cell measures below 1.270 after correcting to 80

(27 ).

NOTE

If any of the cells cannot

be charged to a specific

gravity of at least 1.270,

the battery is not accept-

able for this application.

Replace the vent caps when you have completed the above.

Flush fuel lines with VV-F-800 diesel fuel prior to starting

engine.
