Inspect electrical wiring, connectors, and fittings for damage. Replace damaged components.
Inspect hydraulic hoses, tubes, and fittings for damage. Replace damaged components.
Inspect cooling system hoses, tubes, and fittings for damage. Replace damaged components.
Inspect fire extinguisher discharge nozzles for damage. Repair or replace damaged nozzles.
Clean inside of powerplant compartment using rags and soft-bristled brush dipped in dry
cleaning solvent (SD2) (item 16, appx C).
Unit maintenance shall replace only the
following powerplant compartment
components:
Lockout cylinders (1) (p 2-883)
a.
Engine air outlet duct (2) (p 2-459)
b.
c.
Radiators (3) (p 2-515)
Surge tank (4) (p 2-528)
d.
Generator (5) (p 2-552)
e.
Auxiliary drive (6) (p 2-769)
f.
Auxiliary drive oil drain tube assembly
9.
h.
Radiator coolant tube assembly (8)
i.
Fuel line quick-disconnect couplings
Electrical wiring (10) (p 2-668)
j.
Fire extinguisher discharge nozzles
k.
Repair is by replacement of authorized parts (TM 9-2350-238-24P-1) which do not meet
inspection criteria.
