COUPLING TRAILER TO TOWING VEHICLE.
NOTE
Make sure towing vehicle and trailer are on level ground before coupling.
a.
Apply handbrakes (para 2-10).
WARNING
Rear stabilizer MUST be used during loading and unloading when trailer is not
coupled to towing vehicle. Failure to follow this warning may cause trailer to tip,
resulting in injury to personnel or damage to equipment.
Make sure that weight of trailer is on front support (landing) leg or trailer is cou-
pled to towing vehicle before raising rear stabilizer. Failure to follow this warn-
ing may cause trailer to tip, resulting in serious injury to personnel or damage
to equipment.
b.
If equipped with rear stabilizer (1), turn foot assembly (2) as far as it will go into rear stabilizer (1). Swing
rear stabilizer (1) up until latch hook (3) hooks onto up-latch pin (4).

c.
Remove safety pin (5) from pintle hook (6) of towing vehicle.
d.
Pull up on locking latch (7) to open pintle hook (6).
