b. Disassembly
(1) Place tire davit (1) in vise.
WARNING
Always wear heavy duty gloves when
handling winch cable.
Never let
cable run through hands.
Frayed
cable can cut hands severely.
(2) Unwind wire rope (2) from winch (3).
(3) Remove nut (4), clamp (5), wire rope (2),
and screw (6) from winch (3).
(4) Remove three locknuts (7), screws (8),
and winch (3) from tire davit (1). Discard
locknuts.
(5) Remove screw (9), washer (10), tire lift
pulley (11), and tire lift tube (12) from plate
(13).
