NOTE
In the following steps two technicians are required; one in the cab to
operate key switch and the other to watch starter solenoid.

Place in START position

Starter
a. Starter
Observe that starter solenoid pulls in.

a. If it does not, check for voltage at
solenoid (31) control terminal (tan/
green wire) with key switch in START
position
b. If voltage is 11 volts or more, proceed
to step 10b below
c. If voltage is less than 11 volts, check
battery system voltage (para 2-34a). If
battery system voltage is normal, check
vehicle wiring. If battery system
voltage is not normal, replace
batteries (para 2-34a)
d. If voltage is zero, check circuit
breaker (40) (step 10c below)
