Unscrew and take off using 1 7/8-inch
washer (4)
deep well socket, torque multipiler
wrench with 3/4-inch drive, and cheater
bar.

Yoke (3)
Take off.

Dust shield (9)
Place in position.

Pinion gear (2)
Yoke (3) Place in position.
Yoke should be actual part, not
temporary.

Washer (4) and

Make sure gear (2) is held tight in
nut (5)
vise and will not turn.
b.
Screw on, and tighten to 300-350 ft-lb
(406-474 N m) of torque using
1 7/8-inch deep well socket and
torque multiplier wrench with 3/4-
inch drive.
55.
Nut (5)
New cotter pin (10) a.
Put in.
b.
Separate ends and bend back over nut
(5) using angle-nose slip-joint pliers.
Do not back off nut to line up holes.
Increase torque as needed to line up
holes and put in cotter pin.
