REMOVAL AND DISASSEMBLY
NOTE
Disassemble only as required for parts replacement.
1.
U-bolt (1)
Two nuts (2), lock-
a.
Using 3/8-inch open-end wrench,
washers (3), and
unscrew and take off.

b. Get rid of lockwashers (3).
2.
Adapter plate (5)
U-bolt (1), cable
Take off.
(6), and spacer (7)

Pivot (8)
Locknut (9)
a.
Move lever (10) to lowest position.
b.
Using 1/2-inch open-end wrench, un-
screw and take off.
c. Get rid of locknut (9).
4.
Lever (10)
Pivot (8)
Press on lever (10), and take out.
5.
Cable (6)
Nut (11) and
a.
Using 11-mm open-end wrench and
pivot (8)
pliers wrench, loosen nut (11).
b. Using angle-nose slip-joint pliers and
pliers wrench, unscrew pivot (8) and
take off.

Control lever
Indicator light
Disconnect and tag harness wires.

Control mounting
Six screws (15)
Using number two cross-tip screwdriver,
flange (14)
and nuts (16)
unscrew and take out.

Instrument
Control lever
Lift out.
