f. Tilt the rear of the transmission
slightly downward so the converter
will not fall out.
g. Raise and level the transmission.
h. Aline the holes in the transmission
housing with the guide studs, and the
torque converter drive studs with holes
in the flywheel.
i. Move into position.

Transmission
Eight washers (3)
Screw in, and tighten using 9/16-inch
assembly (1)
and screws (2)
socket and ratchet handle with 1/2-inch
drive.

Four washers (6)
a. Unscrew, and take out four guide studs
and screws (7)
using 3/8-inch flat-tip screwdriver.
b. Screw in, and tighten using 9/16-inch
socket and ratchet handle with 1/2-
inch drive,
34.
Twelve screws
Using 9/16-inch socket and torque
(2) and (7)
wrench with 1/2-inch drive, tighten all
screws to 26-32 ft-lb (35-43 N m) of
torque.
