122. Fuel injection
Eight valve
a.
Using 7/8-inch deep well socket and
pump (1)
retainers (2)
hinged handle with 3/8-inch drive,
unscrew part way.
b.
Using 7/8-inch deep well socket and
torque wrench with 3/8-inch drive,
tighten to 22 - 25 ft-lb
(29.8 - 33.9 N m).
c.
Repeat steps a and b.

Eight clamps (3)
Hold in place.
124. Eight clamps (3)
Four screws (4)
Screw in and tighten using 3/8-inch
flat-tip screwdriver.
125. Fuel injection
Eight upper spring
Put in.
pump (1)
seats (5) and valve
springs (6)
126. Eight barrels (7)
Eight pistons (8)
a.
Using barrel plunger installer tool,
and lower spring
put pistons (8) in with marked tang
seats (9)
facing out.
b.
Using plunger installer tool, put seats
(9) in with open end facing inward.
c.
Seat piston (8) into control sleeve
(10) using plunger installer tool.
127. Fuel injection
Eight lifter
a.
Using tappet installing tool, push
pump (1)
sleeves (11)
piston (8) up and put in one sleeve.
b.
Hold in place using tappet holding tool.
c.
Take out tappet installing tool.
d.
Repeat a thru c for remaining
sleeves (10).
128. Camshaft (12)
Two bearings (13)
Using arbor press, press on.
and shims (14)
129.
Bearing bracket (15)
a.
Coat with grease to hold in place.
b.
Put on.
130. Fuel injection
Camshaft (12)
Put in.
pump (1)
