Intake manifold (1)
a. Look for cracks and breaks.
b. Place manifold (1) on flat surface and
check for warpage.
ASSEMBLY
17.
Intake manifold (1)
Plug (2)
Screw in, and tighten using 9/16-inch
open-end wrench.
18.
Swirl destroyer
Six bushings (4)
Put in position, split facing up.
shaft (3)
Bushings with smaller Inside diameter
are positioned at middle of shaft.
Four larger diameter bushings are
positioned at either end on shaft.
19.
Intake manifold (1)
Swirl destroyer
Put in place.
shaft (3)
Bushings should be flush with
manifold.
20.
Four adapters (5)
Screw in, and tighten using 1/2-inch
open-end wrench.
21.
Elbow (6)
Screw in, and tighten using 7/16-inch
open-end wrench.
INSTALLATION
22.
Cylinder head (7)
New gasket (8) and
Place In position.
