Crankshaft (8)
New wear sleeve (9)
a.
Install two guide studs into crankshaft
flange.
b.
Apply clean engine oil to flange.
c.
Position sleeve (9) on flange, large
chamber toward rear of crankshaft (8).
d.
Using camshaft oil seal and sleeve
installer tool and plastic-face hammer,
drive on sleeve (9) until installer
seats against block.
44.
New oil seal (10)
a.
Apply clean engine oil to sleeve (9)
and seal (10).
b.
Position seal (10) over sleeve (9).
c.
Using crankshaft oil seal and sleeve
installer tool and plastic-face hammer,
drive on until seal (10) is flush with
block.
45
Rear main bearing
Two new seals (12)
a.
Apply clean engine oil.
cap (11)
b.
Push in using main bearing cap seal
installer tool.
c.
Using pocket knife, cut off excess seal
material flush with bottom of cap (11)
and block (4).
