Cylinder block (1)
Four upper bearing
a.
Using clean, dry rags, wipe away any
shells (2) and upper
dirt or dust on bearing bores, shells
thrust flange (3)
(2), and flange (3).
b.
Apply clean engine oil to block bores
and both sides of shells (2) and
flange (3).
c.
Roll shells (2) and flange (3) into
position, tang last, so that tangs
engage and oil holes line up.

Rear main bearing

a.
Using clean, dry rags, wipe away any
cap (4) and four
shells (6) and thrust
dirt or dust on caps (4 ) and (5), shells
