9. WILL NOT RESPOND TO SELECTOR HANDLE MOVEMENT
WARNING
When doing test with vehicle running and in gear, chock tires and stand aside. Vehicle could jump
forward causing personnel injury.
Step 1.
Test main oil pressure.
a.
Remove oil pressure sending unit (1) (TM 9-2320-269-20-2).
b.
Install pressure gage, and put chocks in front and back of rear
tires (2).
c.
Start engine (TM 9-2320-269-10), and let warm up.
d.
Check to be sure parking brakes are applied, apply service brakes,
and move selector (3) to forward drive range (TM 9-2320-269-10).
e.
Run engine at 600 rpm and 1200 rpm, and have assistant note gage
readings.
f.
Turn off engine, release service brakes, and move selector (3) to
neutral (TM 9-2320-269-10).
g.
Remove chocks from rear tires (2), and install oil pressure sending
unit (1) C(TM 9-2320-269-20-2).
h.
If gage reading was 125 psi (861 kPa) at 600 rpm and 187 - 217 psi
(1289 - 1496 kPa) at 1200 rpm, go to step 4.
Step 2.
Inspect control valve assembly (4).
a.

Inspect and repair, or replace as needed (page 2-713).
