6-2. Assembly of Bottom Plates

a. General. The tank bottom consists of twenty

tapered, flat, steel plates. All plates are plain and

interchangeable. They are bolted to the center column

base plate. When completely assembled, the bottom

plate pattern resembles a spoke wheel.

each plate should be placed in its relative position

around the outside of the tank foundation.
