If bushing was not removed, skip step 21.

Front support (5)

New bushing (1)

Place joint in bushing (1) between 10

and 12 o'clock position.

Using arbor press, press in.

Bushing must be flush to 0.010-

Inch (0.25 mm) below edge of bore.

22.

New oil seal (8)

Coat outside diameter of seal with

high temperature seal lubricant.

Using arbor press, seal installer, and

driver handle, press on.

If seal installer is not available,

install seal so spring-loaded lip is

first. Using arbor press, press

seal in to 0.010 to 0.020-Inch

(0.25 to 0.51 mm) below edge of

bore.

Coat inside of seal with high tempera-

ture seal lubricant.
