CORRECTIVE ACTION
2. DOES NOT CRANK
Check flywheel (1) for damage.
a. Remove starter (TM 9-2320-269-20-1).
b. With assistant, rotate engine (2) using 2-inch socket and 3/4-
inch drive ratchet handle on crankshaft pulley nut (3), and
check for damaged or missing flywheel teeth (4).
c. If flywheel teeth (4) are damaged or missing, replace flywheel
d. If engine (2) will not rotate, repair or replace as needed
3. USES TOO MUCH OIL
Step 1. Check for external leakage.
a. Start engine (2), and allow to warm up (TM 9-2320-269-10).
b. Open hood panels (TM 9-2320-269-20-1).
c. Check for leaking oil, and shut off engine (2) (TM 9-2320-269-10).
d. If oil pan (5) or gasket (6) leak, replace as needed (page 2-203).
