16-22. FIRE EXTINGUISHER MOUNT REPLACEMENT

INITIAL SETUP
Equipment Conditions
Materials/Parts
Engine shut off (TM 9-2320-360-10).
Locknuts (2) (Item 58, App endix G)
Parking brake on (TM 9-2320-360-10).
Wheels chocked.
Tools and Special Tools
Tool Kit, Genl Mech (Item 54, Appendix F)
a. Removal
(1) Open clamp (1) and remove
fire
extinguisher (2) from mount (3).
NOTE
Some vehicles use threaded screw
inserts instead of locknuts.
(2) Remove two locknuts (4), screws (5), and
mount (3) from firewall (6).
Discard
locknuts.
b. Installation
(1) Install mount (3) on firewall (6) with two
screws (5) and new locknuts (4).
(2) Position fire extinguisher (2) in mount (3).
Tighten clamp (1).
c. Follow-On Maintenance
Remove wheel chocks.
