Engine shut off (TM 9-2320-360-10).
Tool Kit, Genl Mech (Item 54, Appendix F)
Parking brake on (TM 9-2320-360-10).
Wheels chocked.
Engine hood opened (TM 9-2320-360-10).
a. Removal
WARNING
Coolant may be very hot and under
pressure from engine operation.
Engine
must
be
cool
before
performing maintenance. Failure to
do so may result In serious Injury.
NOTE
Turn radiator cap slowly to remove
system pressure.
(1) Remove radiator cap (1) from radiator (2).
(2) Place suitable container under drain cock
(3) on radiator (2).
NOTE
Drain radiator only until coolant level
is below sight glass.
(3) Turn drain cock (3) counterclockwise to
drain coolant from radiator (2).
(4) Turn drain cock (3) clockwise to close.
