Observe
While tightening nut (2).
Push rod (29) should
retract into housing
assembly (18) as nut is
being tightened
WARNING
Do not attempt to remove release stud (4) from spring chamber assembly (12) at this time.
Compression spring (32) is under extreme tension. Failure to follow this procedure could
result in severe injury. If you are injured, seek medical aid immediately.

Discard cotter pin (5)
and clevis
pin (6)

Disconnect
From slack adjuster
h. Two nuts (7)
Remove
and lock
washers (8)
i. Brake air
Remove
From brake chamber bracket
