In the following steps, cut and remove seven tie straps (17) as necessary to remove wires
and solenoid (29). Note locations for installation.

Air cleaner
a. Fitting (12)
Loosen nut
support,
b. Tubing (9)
Disconnect from fitting (12) and remove
left front
c. Fitting (12)
Remove
d. Elbow (13)
Loosen nut
e. Tubing (11)
Disconnect from elbow (13) and remove
f. Harness plug
Disconnect
From wiring harness
(18)
receptacle
g. Four nuts (14),
Remove
Support solenoid (29) and
lock washers
filter (20)
(15), and
screws (16)
h. Solenoid (29)
Remove
and filter
(20)

Solenoid
a. Filter (20)
Remove
Unscrew from fitting (21)
(29) and
b. Reducer bushing
Remove
filter (20)
(21)
c. Elbow (22)
Remove
Replace solenoid (29) assembly
if elbow (22) cannot
be removed
d. Washer (23),
Remove
Discard O-ring
plate (24),
and O-ring

NOTE
Perform step 9 below only if solenoid (29) is to be replaced or if inspection indicates that wire
leads or harness plug require replacement.

a. Wire loom (26)
Remove

b. Crimp connector
Remove
Cut wires as close to ends of

c. Thermal switch
Disconnect
From harness plug (18)
