36. SLOW OR ERRATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTING.

Step 1.

Open right side of hood (TM 9-2320-270-10). Check transmission oil level on

dipstick (1) with engine running and transmission at normal operating tempera-

ture (TM 9-2320-270-10).

a. If oil level is too low, fill to operating level (LO 9-2320-270-12).

b. If oil level is too high, drain to proper level.

Step 2.

Check external oil filter (2) for leaks or damage.

If filter is leaking, shut down engine (TM 9-2320-270-10) and replace

filter (4-563).
