Using angle-nose slip-joint pl iers,
straighten and pull out.

Get rid of.

Nut (1) and
Using 1 718-inch deep well socket,
washer (4)
torque multiplier wrench with 3/4-inch
drive, and cheater bar, unscrew and
take out.

Dust shield (5)
Yoke (3) a.
Take off.

Take off dust shield (5).

Bearing cage (6)
Six screws (7) Using 13/16-inch socket and ratchet han-
dle with 1/2-inch drive, unscrew and take
off.

Differential
Bearing cage (6),

Using 3/4-inch brass driftpin
and ball-

shims (9), and pinion
peen hammer, strike
sharply against
gear (10)
rear of ring and pinion gear (10) to
start cage (6) off carrier.

Take off cage (6), shims (9), and
gear (10).

Keep shims (9) together.

Take off.

Bearing cone (11)

Using ball-peen hammer and oil seal
and oil seal (12)
installer sleeve, drive out.

Get rid of oil seal (12).

Pinion gear (10)

Using rear and bearing puller, pull off.

Using ball-peen hammer and 3/4-inch
