26. Pinion nut (1)
Cotter pin (2)
a. Using angle-nose slip-joint pliers,
straighten pin and pull out.
b. Get rid of.
27. Bearing cage
Pinion nut (1)
a. Block gears inside carrier (6) with
(3) and gear (4)
and washers (5)
wood block.
b. Using 1 5/8-inch impact socket and
impact wrench with 3/4-inch drive,
unscrew and take off.
c. Take out wood block.
28. Bearing cage (3)
Gear (4)
Take off.
29.
Six screws (7)
a. Using scribe, matchmark cage (3) and
carrier (6).
b. Using 13/16-inch socket and ratchet
handle with 1/2-inch drive, unscrew
and take out.
30. Differential
Bearing cage (3)
a. Using 314-inch brass driftpin and
carrier (6)
and shims (8)
3-lb ball-peen hammer, strike sharply
against pinion gear (9) to start cage
(3) out of carrier (6).
b. Take off cage (3).
c. Keep shims (8) together.

Pinion gear (9)
Pull out.
with attached parts

Bearing cage (3)
Bearing cone (10)
Take off.
33.
Pinion gear (9)
Spacer (11)
Take off.
34.
Pinion gear
Using gear and bearing puller, pull off.
