a.
Look for kinks or cuts.

Check for binding.
c.
If cable is damaged or binds, replace
modulator valve assembly.

a.
Look for cracked or broken ends.
b.
Look for damage or loss of tension.
INSTALLATION

Cable assembly (1)
Route over transmission to engine
assembly (3)
throttle linkage.

Modulator valve (4)
New packing (5)
Put on.
13.
Transmission
Modulator valve (4)
Push into bore.

Retainer (6)
Put into position.

Retainer (6)
Screw (7)
Screw in, and tighten using 1/2-inch
socket and ratchet handle with 3/8-inch
drive.

Put in, and aline hole with elongated slots.

Put in position.

Put in, and using angle-nose slip-joint
pliers, spread and bend ends.
