NOTE
Do not perform steps 1 thru 13 to disassemble the housing unless it is necessary for cleaning or part
replacement.
1.
Transmission
Three plugs (2)
Using 1/2-inch socket and ratchet handle
housing (1)
with 3/8-inch drive, take out.
2.
Manual selector
Pry out part way using 1/4-inch screw-
shaft (3)
driver.
3.
Manual selector
Nut (4)
Using 9/16-inch open-end wrench, un-
shaft (3)
screw and take off.
4.
Shaft retainer
Using angle-nose slip-joint pliers, pull
pin (5)
out.
5.
Detent lever (6)
Take off.
6.
Transmission
Manual selector
Pull out.
housing (1)
shaft (3)
7.
Manual selector
Packing (7)
a.
Using pocket knife, take off.
shaft (3)
b.
Get rid of.
8.
Transmission
Vent assembly (8)
a.
Using ball-peen hammer and 1/2-inch
housing (1)
cold hand chisel, tap out.
b. Get rid of.
9.
Modulator
Screw (10)
Using 1/2-inch socket and rat chet handle
retainer (9)
with 3/8-inch drive, unscrew and take out.
10.
Transmission
Modulator
Take off.
housing (1)
retainer (9)
11.
Adapter lube
Two screws (12)
Using 3116-inch socket-head screw key,
valve tube (11)
and washers (13)
unscrew and take off.
