Center support (1)
Third clutch
a.
Align square lug on piston bottom with
piston (2)
square recess in center support (1).
b.
Press into place in front bore.
16.
Third clutch
20 springs (3)
Position in pockets.
piston (2)
17.
Clutch spring
a.
Align holes in retainer (4) with pins
retainer (4)
on piston (2).
b.
Put on and press down.
Piston must be bottomed in its bore
when retaining rings are installed
to give proper clutch clearance.
18.
Four new
a.
Put in position.
retaining rings (5)
b.
Using lockring installer, press onto
pins.
19.
Center support (1)
Third clutch
a.
Take out.
piston (2)
b.
Repeat steps 15 thru 19 to assemble
second clutch piston, except use rear
bore in center support (1).
Line up square lug on piston bottom
with square recess in center support.

Third clutch piston
New inner packing
a.
Lubricate with oil soluble grease.
(2) and second
(7) and new outer
b.
Put in position so lip of seals face
clutch piston (6)
packing (8)
oil pressure side of piston.
If seals are not assembled correctly,
the clutches will not operate
properly.
21.
Center support (1)
Second clutch piston
a.
Place in position.
with attached
b.
Press into rear bore.

Third clutch piston
a.
Place in position.
with attached
b.
Press into front bore.
