If the needle bearing assembly was not removed, skip step 30.

Front support (1)
Needle bearing (2)
a.
Place in position with numbered end of
cage up.
b.
Using front support bearing installer,
drive handle, and arbor press, press
into bore.
NOTE
If the converter regulator valve guide, spring and converter regulator valve were not
removed, skip step 31.
31.
Converter regulator
a.
Place valve guide (5) in valve pin
valve (3), spring
installer.
(4), and new con-

Place spring (4) and converter regulator
verter regulator
valve (3) on valve guide (5).
valve guide (5)c.
Using valve pin installer, press in
position in bore.
32.
New packing (6)
a.
Lubricate with oil soluble grease.
b.
Put in position.
Make sure packing does not twist In
groove.
33.
Two seal rings (7)
Place in position.
