WARNING
The regulator valve spring is under approximately 65-lb pressure. Be careful when removing snaprings. Parts can
fly off with force causing injury to personnel.
5. Oil pump and front
Two snaprings (2)
a. Attach main regulator and lockup valve
support assembly (1)
and (3)
using spring compressor tool.
b. Using snapring pliers, take out.

Valve stop (4),
a. Carefully loosen screws on compressor
spring (5), and
tool and take off.

Take out.

Two screws (11)
Using 9116-inch socket and ratchet handle
with 1/2-inch drive, unscrew and take out.

Using 1/2-inch socket and ratchet handle
with 1/2-inch drive, unscrew and take out.

Oil pump (13)
Take off.
NOTE
Do not remove lockup valve plug unless it is damaged.

Lockup valve
a. Using arbor press, take out.

b. Get rid of.

Drive gear(15) and
Take out.

Oil pump seal (17)
a. Using ball-peen hammer and 1/4-inch
brass driftpin, take out.
b. Get rid of.
