WARNING
The adjusting rings, plugs, and plates are spring loaded, and as they are removed, springs can fly out with great
force and could cause serious injury to personnel. During removal use care to hold down parts while spring pressure
is released.
CAUTION
The different valves and springs in the valve assembly are similar, can easily be mixed up, and result in transmission
damage. Keep each group of parts taken from each bore separated and together in clean containers.
1. Modulator valve
Three screws (2)
Using 7/16-inch socket and ratchet han-
body (1)
die with 1/2-inch drive, unscrew and
take out.
2. Control valve
Modulator
Lift off.

a. Note or mark slot in adjusting ring

b. Press on ring (5), and using
long round-nose pliers, take out.
