a. Clean in drycleaning solvent.
b. Clean bores by flushing with
dry cleaning solvent.
c. Dry parts with compressed air.

Low shift valve
a. Look for wear, scratches, grooves,
assembly (1)
and dirt in bores.
b. Remove scratches with emery cloth.
c. Look for nicks, burrs, and scratches
on mounting faces.
d. Remove scratches with crocus cloth
or soft stone.
If scratches are deep, replace
the assembly.
