Cover assembly (1)
Bearing race (2)
a. Place cover (1) with clutch piston (3)
facing up.
b. Take off.

Snapring (4)
Using arbor press and snapring pliers,
take off.

Clutch piston (3)
a. Turn cover (1) over on wood surface
so piston (3) faces down.
b. Bump cover (1) sharply on wood sur-
face to remove piston (3).

Retainer (5) and
a. Take out.
packing (6)
b. Get rid of packing (6).
10.
Clutch piston (3)
Packing (7)
a. Take off.
b. Get rid of.
NOTE
Do not remove bushing unless it is damaged.
11.
Cover assembly (1)
Bushing (8)
a. Using 1/2-inch brass driftpin and
ball-peen hammer, drive out.
b. Get rid of.
12.
Clutch backing
Lockup clutch
Lift off.
