Three solenoids (5)
a
Look for stripped or damaged
terminals.
b.
Set multimeter to RX 1 scale.
c.
Touch probes to two front terminals(6) and (7).
Multimeter should show continuity.
d.
Touch probes to two side terminals
(8) and (9).
Multimeter should not show
continuity.
e.
Touch black probe to core and touch
red probe to each terminal one at a
time.
Multimeter should not show
continuity.
f.
Using battery and two test leads,
connect two front terminals (6) and
(7) to battery.
There should be a clicking noise
when terminals are connected.
g.
Touch multimeter probes to two side
terminals (8) and (9).
There should be continuity.
h.
Disconnect test leads from solenoid
and battery.
