TROUBLESHOOTING - CONTINUED
MALFUNCTION
TEST OR INSPECTION
CORRECTIVE ACTION
30. LOW OR NO PRESSURE
Step 1.
Check power takeoff (1) operation.
a. Have assistant engage power takeoff (1), and start engine
(TM 9-2320-269-10).
b. Check operation of power takeoff drive shaft (2).
c. Have assistant shut engine off, and disengage power takeoff (1)
(TM 9-2320-269-10).
d. If drive shaft (2) did not turn, remove (page 2-1735), and repair or
replace as needed. Repeat steps a thru c, and check operation of
power takeoff output shaft (3).
e. If output shaft (3) did not turn, check for broken cable (4).
Replace as needed (TM 9-2320-269-20-2), or remove power
takeoff (1). Repair or replace as needed (page 2-1719).
f. If output shaft (3) turned, remove hydraulic pump (5), and repair or
replace as needed (page 2-1401).
g. Install power takeoff drive shaft (2) (page 2-1735).
Step 2.
Check hydraulic pump (5) for loose parts, damage, and leakage.
a. If pump (5) is loose, damaged or leaking, tighten, repair or replace
as needed (page 2-1401).
b. If lines (6 and 7) are damaged, replace (TM 9-2320-269-20-2).
Step 3.
Check intake line (7) for blockage.
a. Remove line (7) using 3/4-inch open-end wrench and check for
dirt and debris.
b. Clean out or replace as needed, and install using 3/4-inch open-
end wrench.
Step 4.
Check in-tank filter (8) for dirt.
a. Remove filter (8) (TM 9-2320-269-20-2), and clean or replace
as needed.
b. Install filter (8) (TM 9-2320-269-20-2).
