6. STANDARD WIRING HARNESS WORKING IMPROPERLY - CONTINUED
Step 5.
Test harness (1) for wires shorted together.
a.
With assistant, connect ohmmeter to wire #52 at bulkhead
connector (2).
b.
Connect ohmmeter to remaining wires at fender connectors (3),
turn/marker light connectors (4), horn (5), and washer pump (6)
one at a time, and note meter readings. If meter reads more than
zero ohms, wires are shorted together.
c.
Disconnect ohmmeter from wire #52 at bulkhead connector (2).
d.
Repeat for remaining wires in harness (1).
Step 6.
Repair or replace harness (1) as needed.
a.
Using wiring diagrams and applicable maintenance procedures
(TM 9-2320-269-20-1), remove harness (1).
b.
Using notes from steps 3 thru 5, repair harness using applicable
maintenance procedures (TM 9-2320-269-20-1) or replace as
needed.
c.
Install harness (1) using wiring diagrams and applicable main-
tenance procedures (TM 9-2320-269-20-1).
d.
Connect bulkhead connector (2), fender connectors (3),
turn/marker connectors (4), horn (5), and washer pum p (6).
e.
Close left side hood panel (TM 9-2320-269-20-1).
