Column (3) Description. Indicates the National item name and, if required, a minimum description to identify

and locate the item. The last line for each item indicates the FSCM (in parentheses) followed by the part

number.

Column (4) Unit of Measure (U/M).

Indicates the measure used in performing the actual

operational/maintenance function. This measure is expressed by a two character alphabetical abbreviation

(e.g., ea, in, pr).

Column (5) Quantity required (Qty rqr). Indicates the quantity of the item authorized to be used with/on the

equipment. A bookkeeping entry log is included to list quantities of items received and dates.
