b. Positioning of Identification Markings (fig. E-5). On boxes and crates under 10 cubic feet, stencil or

print the markings directly on the left, upper two-thirds of the side of the container. On boxes and crates 10

cubic feet and over, the markings are also required in the upper two-thirds of one end of the container. Boards

constructed of 1/4-inch plywood (standard sheet with exterior glue) may be used for marking unsheathed crates

(fig. E-6).
