Remove preformed packing (21) from arm

to wheel support roadwheel flange (18).

Using drift, tap through drift holes in
roadwheel arm to wheel support flange
(18) and remove plain encased seal (22).
Remove two self-locking nuts (2), two flat

washers (23), two hexagon head cap-
screws (24), and idler wheel bar (25) from
pivot arm assembly (4).
Remove pivot arm assembly (4) from hull.

1 Inspect for broken, damaged, or missing parts.
2 If pivot arm assembly or idler wheel spindle is damaged, notify direct support maintenance.
3 Repair is by replacement of authorized parts (TM 9-2350-238-24P-1) which do not meet
inspection criteria.
