Step 3.
COOLING SYSTEM
12. RADIATOR COOLING VANEAXIAL FAN DOES NOT OPERATE.
Check for broken cooling fan V-belt.
Step 1.
If cooling fan V-belt is broken, go to step 2. If cooling fan V-belt is not
broken, go to step 5.
Check for damaged radiator cooling vaneaxial fan.
Step 2.
If radiator cooling vaneaxial fan is damaged, notify direct support
maintenance.
Install and adjust new cooling fan V-belt. Refer to page 2-543.
Step 3.
Check for damaged fan belt tensioner.
Step 4.
Repair fan belt tensioner as required. Refer to page 2-543.
Remove cooling fan V-belt. Start engine. Check for rotation of clutch fan
Step 5.
sheave. Stop engine.
If clutch fan sheave does not rotate, notify direct support maintenance.
13. GENERATOR DOES NOT OPERATE.
Check for faulty or damaged voltage regulator.
Step 1.
Repair voltage regulator. Refer to page 2-557.
