Compound, Sealing, Pipe Thread (Item 15,
Parking brake on (TM 9-2320-360-10).
Wheels chocked.
Ties, Cable, Plastic (Item 34, Appendix C)
Transfer case drained (LO 9-2320-360-12).
Tools and Special Tools
Tool Kit, Genl Mech (Item 54, Appendix F)
a. Removal
(1) Remove lube line no. 2762 (1) from two
elbows (2 and 3).
NOTE
Upper elbow will be removed during
transfer case replacement.
(2) Remove elbow (3) from transfer case (4).
(3) Remove lube line no. 2831 (5) from fitting
(6) and elbow (7).
(4) Remove fitting (6) from transfer case (4).
NOTE
Location of plastic cable tie should
be marked before removal.
(5) Remove plastic cable tie (8) from elbow
(7).
(6) Remove elbow (7) from strainer (9).
(7) Remove strainer (9) from transfer case (4).
