Parking brake on (TM 9-2320-360-10).
Lockwashers (6) (Item 104, Appendix G)
Wheels chocked.
Engine hood opened (TM 9-2320-360-10).
Personnel Required

Tools and Special Tools
Tool Kit, Genl Mech (Item 54, Appendix F)
Wrench, Torque, 0-175 Lb-Ft (Item 73,
Wrench, Torque, 0-200 Lb-in. (Item 72,
a. Removal
WARNING
Coolant may be very hot and under
pressure  from  engine  operation.
Ensure  engine  Is  cool  before
performing maintenance.  Failure to
comply may cause serious Injury.
(1) Turn
radiator
cap
(1)
slowly
counterclockwise
to
relieve
system
pressure.
(2) Remove radiator cap (1) aft er pressure is
relieved.
NOTE
Drain top radiator tank only.
(3) Place suitable container under radiator
drain cock (2) to collect coolant.
(4) Turn drain cock (2) counterclockwise to
drain coolant from radiator (3).
