assembly if cracked,

broken, distorted, or
contact areas worn

All other parts
Inspect
Replace if cracked, broken,
distorted, or threads
damaged
REASSEMBLY
CAUTION
Do not hammer cylinder rod (15) in following steps.

a.
Packing (12)
Lubricate
Use clean transmission fluid
cylinder
and three
rings (14,
16, and 17)
b.
Snap ring (17)
Install
and lock ring
(16)
c.
Cylinder rod
Install
(15)
d.
New retaining
Install
ring (14)
e.
New adapter
Install
Packing (12) cup side down
(13) and new
packing (12)
f.
New wiper (11)
a. Install
In gland nut (10), wiper lip
out
b. Lubricate
Apply clean grease to wiper
lip
g.
Gland nut (10)
Install
with wiper
