NOTE
It may be necessary to reinstall radiator cap several times to ensure tight seal.
b. Pressure
Operate and watch meter reading at its
tester pump
highest point. Cap release pressure should
be 6 to 9 pounds, and should remain steady
for at least 30 seconds. If radiator cap
pressure is 6 to 9 pounds, and remains
steady for at least 30 seconds before
dropping, proceed to step c below. If
radiator cap pressure is not 6 to 9 pounds
or if pressure drops rapidly, install new
radiator cap
